| This Project Engineer is responsible for projects involving modernization and automation initiatives in a high speed, fast paced manufacturing, packaging, and distribution plant. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and approximately 3 - 5 years successful background in engineering projects is required. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager, and the Plant Projects Engineer plans engineering projects and coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, machinery modifications, resolution of engineering issues, including those associated with project budgets, completion dates, and interaction with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
This position is independent of the Plant Facilities Engineer and Maintenance Manager, but communicates and coordinates with them for the overall successful operation of the plant manufacturing efforts, but again, note that this position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
